For those of you who may have experienced some credit issues for the first time in your life due to the economic mess we all find ourselves in these days and you’re concerned about what you’re going to run into while shopping for a car let me attempt to put your mind at ease.
We have been dealing with banks that recognize the difference between a person who’s just plain flakey and doesn’t care vs. someone that’s responsible and conscientious but simply ran into trouble due to unforeseen circumstances like so many of us have experienced in recent years. These banks have been around for years. In fact they were around long before the sub prime mortgage mess made the word “sub prime” taboo. These people make very fair loans to customers that otherwise are great people.
During the mortgage meltdown they were forced to cut back on the amount of loans they did simply because no one would give them money to loan because they were affiliated with that taboo word “sup prime”. But these lenders were making responsible loans to customers long before the mortgage mess ever occurred. In fact they went through a similar melt down in the late 1990’s and learned their lessons. So now that everything has calmed down somewhat these lenders are now able to find money to loan to people just like you. In fact for the first time in over two years they are actually calling us wanting our business.
I believe there are a lot of people out there just like yourself that really need a car but do not want to take the chance that they might be turned down for a car loan or forced into a car they don’t want or have to pay an extremely high interest rate. The issue more times than not is not you. It’s the dealers you’re trying to do business with. They simply don’t know what they’re doing. We do! We’ve been doing this for over ten years and we’ll help you get into the right car at the right price.
So the moral of the story is this: Don’t make assumptions. Don’t think that a few late pays or collection’s are going to put you out of the market for the vehicle you want. There is only one way to find out what’s really available to you and that is to contact us. Hope to hear from you soon!

I used to have great credit but now...........
I have had a wave of friends and family that had excellent credit when times were good. They made some investments in real estate and other ventures because that's what you do when you have money, it's easy to get a loan and things are appreciating. If only we had all known! Needless to say there are a TON of folks out there in this boat. People that had great credit, great jobs and did what they thought was a sound financial decision only to have their worlds turned upside down by what's happened these past few years.
My friends and family are not proud of the predicament they find themselves in. They don't want to talk about it and they don't want people to know they are struggling and had they not known me they probably would not have purchased the car they needed. They would have continued fixing their old piles or staying in a payment or car situation that really wasn't working for them.
Folks I'm here to tell you that we can help you. Lenders know what we've been through. They recognize a good customer that ran into problems when they see one. They are ready to do their jobs which is to give loans to good people that have run into trouble. What separates West Valley Auto Plaza from others like National Auto Plaza or Low Book Sales?

This is a huge benefit when you’re trying to rebuild your credit. We sell newer nicer cars than the average dealer because if we treat our customers well, they treat us well. Land Cruiser FJ40 crawls on a car at West Valley Auto Plaza.
When the cat's away...the other night after I left everybody went out fron to watch Trygg drive over an old car in his new Land Cruiser (FJ40). When I confronted him the next day he said "we were pretending the Cruiser was WVAP and the old car was bad credit...so we crushed it!" Pretty funny.

Because of the similarities in our names West Valley Auto Plaza & National Auto Plaza constantly get confused as part of the same group...this could not be further from the truth. Nick, I heard you changed to "Lease Here Pay Here." What's that about?
West Valley Auto Plaza has upgraded our Buy Here Pay Here program to Lease Here Pay Here. After attending several conferences where Buy Here Pay Here dealers get together we realized that this was a must do for our customers and here's why... There are two big differences between Lease Here & Buy Here Pay Here for our customers:
First, when you buy a car in Utah you must pay almost 7% state sales tax up front before the vehicle can even be registered. This means between tax and licensing we have to collect about $1000 from a customer just to get the car licensed. That means you are not lowering the amount you are financing even a penny with your $1000 down payment, but now we are set up for leasing! Leasing has been reserved for customers with the highest credit scores for decades UNTIL NOW! When you lease a vehicle you don't pay sales tax upfront. You only pay tax on your monthly payment. Folks, this is awesome!
Second, with leasing your interest is broken up evenly over the 2-3 year loan instead of the standard principle and interest setup we're all used to where you pay almost entirely interest during the first half of your loan. This means where most of our customers only keep their car for an average of 18 months they will be able to trade it in easier because they will have more of the balance paid off.

New Year. New Beginning.
Well folks it’s been quite a year for our company. We started off 2009 with a bang and did well until September when sales nose dived. Unfortunately, we had to close down Ogden Auto Plaza and consolidate our efforts into one location. It was a difficult decision but in these tough times we need to make difficult decisions in order to survive. Now that all of that is behind us, we are ready to make a new beginning by being the best out there at what we do.
What do we do? Well, we simply worker harder than any other dealer out there to find our customers the absolute best vehicle we can that’s within their budget and works with their credit situation. It's that simple. We are currently on the prowl for new lenders, the best used cars, the best interest rates and the best staff to constantly improve what it is that we do. We are on a mission to constantly improve and stay the best so we can offer our customers what they’re looking for: a great car at a great price and excellent customer service.
We listen to the frustrations of our customers. Going into a dealership and either being shown cars they can’t stand or cars they love but can’t get into because of payments or a cosigner. Getting jerked around by a bunch of ignoramus’s that think they know your situation better than you do. Folks hear you!
